Topic: Hud is broken

So, on windows 7 I installed the game and SS2tool.
After setting all my stuff such as widescreen to 1920x1200 and fov to 100, i go to play the game and surprisingly my hud is missing. This, in turn makes it impossible for me to play as I cannot get past the shoot/use mode section. Is there any solution to this?

Just to clarify: it's missing even when you enter the Basic Training simulation booth?

Yes it is.
Also I'm using SHTUP and my game is installed on I:\ not C:\

Sounds like something went horribly wrong. Either the game can't find some of it's resources or they're missing. Or someone played a cruel trick on you. Make sure you've got an unmodified game.

Could you post a screenshot or directory listing of your game dir + the contents of install.cfg?

Some things to try:
Reboot. Try again.
Copy the game dir to C:/games and try again.
Usually the game should work anywhere but some premodified game versions screw that up.

I managed to fix it, but to the point where it's half working.
It flickers though and it disappears occasionally and I have to jam on the esc kemanyy to get it back.

Odd. Try disabling ddfix via ddfixgui.exe
