So does this mean that ejecting casings and invisibility/transparency are still not working correctly, as mentioned in earlier posts?

I'm gonna make it so in some time so stay tuned. Flatliner's that is.
Ejected casings should be fine all the way.

Invisibility and Transparency should be working, but I haven't actually tested this release yet.

Are there any plans to merge Flatliners and adaob together? They waaay too good to be kept separate.

You can do that yourself by installing Flatliners after ADaoB. It replaces a single file. ATM Flatliners integrates only gamesys fixes from 0.2.8. but as I've said recently I'll update it soon... and UARMM as well.

I'm downloading torrent at 130 kB/s. Will seed when complete (estimated 3 mins). If it's not quite seeding then as usual I'll upload it somewhere else.

hm, i took a look at this while setting up my age-olde copy of ss2 to work in linux, and i'm wondering - is there a way to set this up so that i *only* get the bug-fixes/cosmetic-updates? Because I had no idea about things like unbreakable EMPs and incorrectly modded guns (or a spacewalk!) and would like to fix them, but I have deep, deep fundamental disagreements with various decisions/logical reasoning made regarding rebalancing weapons.

Simple answer: No. You'd need to make your own mod.

You'd be better off to take this mod and revert those weapon balancing things back to its original setting. May not be so easy as it is written if Dromed (or shocked) is a new term to you.

well i guess there's no harm in learning shocked to do that, i suppose there might be some other people who would a similar version of ADaoB

Problem here. I just downloaded the latest version, but while the filename clearly says v029 the mod manager says Beta 0.2.8 after importing it.

that's just cosmetical if you don't mind... files are indeed up to date, no need to worry

I still seem to have problems with med hypos using version 0.2.9. I'm running SS2 with wine on linux, seems to work pretty good now.
Steps I used in setting up: 1) install the game (full version) 2) using SS2Tool v2.7 (patching up, merging CRF's, mod ready). 3) renaming cutscenes map (still having troubles with that, they are playing but sometimes the game crashes on playing them). 4) extract rebirth mod 5) extract shtup mod 6) backup *.mix and *.gam files 7) extract ADaoB mod 8) running the game once to let it create cam.cfg and after that changed the resolution to 1280x1024
Everything works fine.. except that I cannot use med hypos. If I replace the files again with the backupped files, using med hypos works again, so I'm pretty sure it has something to do with ADoaB mod v0.2.9.
Thanks in advance,
--Ronny
p.s. I really want to thank all the contributors for their hard work in keeping this a great game!

Sounds like you're missing NVScript.osm. Why are you extracting it manually instead of using the Mod Manager? That's just asking for trouble unless you really know what you're doing.

I'm sorry... I forgot to mention that Modmanager doesn't work in wine. But I also have to add that I have the same problem in windows XP. What about that file NVScript.osm? Where can I get it? I'm sorry if I'm asking very obvious questions!
Thanks for your explanation Nameless,
--Ronny
__ It seems that the NVScript.osm file is present, am I supposed to do anything with it ?
__
"script_load nvscript" seem to have fixed it.

There's something seriously broken in NVScript isn't loaded into the ADaOB missions. What missions are you having this problem on?
Did you previously play the game before installing ADaOB? Because such saves are not compatible with the versions of ADaOB that use NVScript and would cause the problems that you describe.
(Edit: I merged your three posts to keep the thread tidy.)

Yeah I was previously playing the game before installing the mods.. So that has to explain everything...
Thank you Nameless... I'm sorry for the confusion! Everything works fine!

Hi there. Does anyone have any information how this mod affects multiplayer difficulty?
|
|
|
| Marvin
|
ADaoB does not change multiplayer difficulty, in fact, by adding respawn points for the Body of the Many, the game technically gets a little bit easier.

I thought it included the impossible multiplayer mod? Which means that it sets multiplayer's difficulty as roughly equivalent to single player's "impossible" rather than single player's "hard".
