The firing event is so fast you can't even see the slide move (long enough to leave a lasting impression)

yes, these are both quality weapons... and the slide action is an awesome touch, but I agree with rocketman, its so fast, I didnt think it was working.

is there a way to slow that down?

Great weapons, thanks much!  Using both of them atm, however I think I'm going to switch to another shotgun because I can't stand the mis-aligned muzzle flash.  I was previously using Assidragon's shotgun if that matters.

Apparently the mis-aligned muzzle flash is something I've done,  I'm not at all sure which file is responsible for the shotgun muzzle flash.

:edit: The problem is SecMod.

No!! The problem is a new shotgun who's center is where the old shotgun's muzzle used to be!!  :D
This would be easiest to fix if Mercurius added a muzzle flash vhot to his shotgun, I'll have to check it out I guess.

You can probably slow down the slide action with a gamesys mod, though reversing some joint in the model might be needed too.

The next ADaoB will reverse the joints of the pistol. An accordingly fixed version of the Tacticool pistol will be released simultaneously.

I'd do it myself except I don't have a 3d viewer for it and don't know how to make it :(:):(

3d View does it the easy way, Rotate, screencap, isolate, place, done.

There's an object viewer included with the ShockEd ToolKit.

Like I have nothing better to do I've played with it yesterday and here's the icon made of Tacticool's shotgun model. There's only one thingie wrong.... it doesn't work...
I've not looked into it deeper but I've tried to imitate its properties to match the original icons..that would be 33x99 256 colours pcx with pink background. Still something missing because it won't load. Here.. anyone can do whatever's left undone..

Try saving it with the original icon's colourtable.
I can't fashion anything out of the one you posted since the pink is dithered into the gun's edges.

@Nutz0 and Rocketman
I suppose the slide might be able to be slowed down with some editing of the game code, but that's outside my capabilites.  Besides, slides aren't suppose to move slowly.  Raising one's framerate will make it more noticeable.

@Solie and TF
I could've sworn I included the muzzle flash vhot and moved it to the end of the barrel, even though it doesn't do anything in vanilla Shock2.  Damn my memory :(

@miracle.freak
Yes...maybe.  If I can remember the process, it's been a while and I've got a goldfish's memory.  Still, the laser pistol was nearly finished and I had quite a few other things that needed a bit more work.

Yah, no problem. That issue only comes up when a mod contains a shock2.gam file. This one is purely cosmetical.
