Win 7 64 bit crash atfter saving

The game looks beautiful and runs well, but I have been having ctd's after saving the game. It happens at the point where after I have saved and the game goes to black screen, just before returning you to the play screen. I have tried the tips in the FAQ, like running as admin and disabling desktop themes but it is still happening. If this has been covered I apologize, as I have looked here for any solutions. Funny, but I never remember having any issues last time I played the game on this rig, which was like a year or more ago.

Edit - I tried running Kolya's SS2 tool 3.5.7, and so far, so good. The one I had from before was the SS2 Tool vers 2.7. If it goes to hell, I will repost and update.
