How to make a working lift?

Okay, Im officially to dense to build a working lift in shocked 2.45 (or the older versions).
I create a Lift 1, a Button 1, and two elevator paths.
lift has: tpathinit (first path) and tpath (second path)
button has: switchlink to the lift

After this didn't work I copied over the lift setting from medsci1, but this will not work either.

Let the laughs commence now...
