Seems like you could just remove gamesys.dml from the mod. Doesn't look like a gameplay change anyway though.

It is a gameplay change; it makes the EMP Rifle shoot the Maintenance Droid electrical spark instead of an EMP blast. 6 Electricity damage, which gets a 4x multiplier on bots and cyborgs (1x on organics). Compare with 10 EMP damage originally, with 4x mult on bots, 2x mult on cyborgs, and 0x on everyone else. I don't see a good reason it shouldn't be a separate minimod, but Silversharp can do what he pleases of course.

If you delete DMM\Silversharp's Weapon Sounds V3\gamesys.dml after installing the mod, this change will not go into effect and you will have only the new sounds.

What the hell was a weapon replacement ever doing in a sound upgrade mod anyway? Agreed that the Discharge Rifle should be its own separate mod.

I'm guessing he wanted to do upgraded sounds for the modded rifle. still, an odd choice, no argument there.

I'm pretty sure It's already it's own mod (https://www.systemshock.org/index.php?wap2;topic=7190) and so there's really no reason to bundle it at all.

I feel like I should also post this here, to ensure compatibility with the Pistol Hybrid mod, since the new pistol sounds are significantly longer than the stock one and will make some shots not produce sound if fired by an hybrid, here is an arranged shorter version of the 3 possible normal pistol shots: https://mega.nz/file/Ls5mzbSC#MQwhSB9xQIR_zNpVmohM5FHtR2MyqN9bx7q8o6uuSKM
