Given that copyright is handled quite strictly in Germany and this is a large publication I'm fairly sure they paid for it and hence know what it is.

Issue 02/2017 of the German game magazine GameStar has a 8 page feature about System Shock  including an interview with Warren Spector, also a short "Hall of Fame Video".
Not much in there I didn't already know, except: Weapons in System Shock are named after developers (DC-05 =Doug Church) and the Hacker's Worker ID 2-4601 is the same as Jean Valjean's in Les Misérables.
In the article Shodan is weirdly refered to as a "he", in the video as a "she". Also strange that the first picture in the article isn't even from the game but a rather often used fan art.
