Download SS2Tool on MacBook?

Hi, I tried downloading the SS2Tool on my MacBook Pro but I get a message that there's no app to open the file in? Wondering if other people have had this issue. TIA

you will need some sort of emulation layer to run a windows program. or you can patch up on a windows machine and then copy the now portable install to the mac computer. you will still need a windows emulation/compatibility layer of some sort to run the game though.

You will need wineskin to play the game. It's likely that the mac version already runs under wine already, which means you should be able to run ss2tool under the same bottle/prefix, do some googling. I know how to do it on Linux but not on Mac.

The other problem you may run into is that ss2tool may not run correctly. People on Linux found that it would remove a lot of game files (see this thread) and you may have similar issues on Mac.

My way to fix it was to write a shell script to use native rsync rather than the ss2tool version, which I am specifically not going to share any details about or give any specific info on for legal reasons. I may host my own ss2 version at some point, however until then, you're on your own if you run into this issue. Good luck.
