Cool cards! It's like Yu-Gi-Oh!, except actually balanced properly!

The precise sizes are mentioned in the PDF.

Reading the thread title, I thought this was going to be incredibly lame, but it actually looks pretty neat. I like the Inviso-Mutant's picture. ;)

Hehe, I like the pixel art.  Reminds me of my old Macintosh IIc

Since this thread contains a download now I moved it to the archive.

The cards look cool, I like the artwork which is simple but well done. On a technical point of view I'd suggest you create a PDF with all the cards in it, exactly as many times as they need to be printed.

The game is up. I ended up scanning the weapons out of my original card decks and filling in the rest of the info myself.

The only thing I didn't do was setup 'Ready to print' sheets. If there are any graphic artists out there who know how to do that properly, I would appreciate your help.

Suggestions/comments/criticism of my ancient project are welcome  :borg:

Is it playable without those cards? In any case, release the cards you have and you'll see if people are interested.

Well, since I pulled it out of storage, I count 20 pages. Of course, since you can 'choose' the stories direction to some extent, the overall story hasn't progressed that far. Maybe I'll motivate myself to finish it.

Back to the card game... I'm almost done with the instructions, but I just hit a snag  :dropsdead: I was going through the original card artwork and just realized that the weapon cards are missing. Soooo, I'm not sure what to do at this point since the game is incomplete. Should I;
a) Release what I have
b) Re-create the cards

If I'm going to go to the trouble of recreating the cards, then I'm going to go ahead and finish the updates I always intended to make for the game. But then if I go and do that, I can't promise these will be ready anytime soon. What do you think? Is it worth it? Does anyone really care about this stuff anyway?

That's pretty sweet looking, nice work. I'm interested in both the cards and the adventure as well. About how large was it, originally?

Thanks. I'll hold off uploading the cards just yet because I need to write-up instructions on how to play the game. It's pretty simple and shouldn't take me too long. So stay tuned.

The 'Choose your own adventure' is a whole separate beast. I'm pretty sure I have the old storyline, but I don't have the old screenshots I tweaked and used as pictures to illustrate the story. But I'll see what I can dig up.

Well sure, we're collecting everything related to the games here and these cards look pretty well done. Personally I would be even more interested in that 'choose your own adventure'. Always loved those and once made a short one myself (about a Dylan song).

I'll give you an uploader badge, so you can attach stuff to your posts.

Hello all. I'm new to these boards, but a long time System Shock fan. Back in the early days of the internet (when AOL was a major service provider) I even had a System Shock 'choose your own adventure' style website. I think I still may have the scripts buried somewhere...

Anydangway, something I never released was the card game I made using MS Paint and the walkthrough guide (for specs and artwork reference). This was way back in like 1996 mind you, so the graphics are a bit primitive. My friends liked it anyway  :p
