Yeah, I heared about it. I want to point out that the actual safety of these systems is an aspect of minor importance to this discussion. Those systems already being out in the wild (and mainly without incidents) is what's really counting, I think. Surely these accidents do have an impact on development and political decisions but I doubt that it will lead to much, if any, delay. My point is that Ng is dead wrong, if he thinks that things like self-driving cars are still far away from our reality. Them being not 100% safe only underlines how much we are in need of regulation and careful risk assessment right now.#21
Btw: this also makes a case against TTIP and Co.
