There are two of them, a short promotional video (30secs) and an article from PC gamer. The article was
discussed on TTLG
.

I've found some System Shock reviews but in Czech. Maybe someone will find it interesting:

There is also Czech (or Slovak, I'm not sure) translation of SS1 on this site, but it doesn't contain messages or e-mails, so I think It's useless.

well, those were the no-internet times (at least over here),so the one and only source you could get any info or help were computer (game) magazines.so yes, walktroughs were quite common, and so were the help sections-they would be equivalent to internet forums, but you had to send a letter with your question, and it was published with an answer one month later..can you imagine that?
jeez, did I actually live through those times? right now it seems so distant as a previous life..

Of course they did. You don't need the internet to write and publish walkthroughs. Heck, YouTube started back in
1985

LOL..funny!
As a side note there were some companies that published hint books that you could pickup at your local game store. Yes I am old enough to remember actually buying a few.

EDIT: There are SS2 reviews on this website, but not sure if they should be posted here. Also, you can find other Origin's games catalogs, reviews, even some demo versions.

Thanks for all the scans. But according to post #5 System Shock cost £49.99 - were most PC games this expensive in 1993 (in which case they've come down in price now, especially in real terms), or was the game more expensive than it's contemporary games?

No, the pricing for games has always been pretty stable throught the last 20 years (or even longer).
People are just bitching all the time about prices, nothing to be surprised about.
The only thing which is "new" are the indie games which come with a lower price most of the time.
