After installing rebalanced skills and disciplines mod with pistol hybrid, textures (and so on), with the scary ai monster mod; I cannot be hit or shot by the hybrids anymore when starting a new game. Can someone please help me? I already have the game patched. So I don't know what the problem is

looks like you're in for a few rounds of the good old disable mods one by one until things start to work.

or maybe do the opposite - leave just SCP and texture/object mods (that combo is very, very safe), and see whether the game works properly now. if it does, start to add the mechanics altering mods one by one and see where things break.

perhaps post your ss2bmm.log, maybe there's something obvious going on.

I believe this can happen if you try to use SS2-RSD without SCP (has been mandatory for a while now). I thought I fingerprinted against that in the recent betas, but maybe the guy is using an older "stable" version

voodoo47 Tried that, didn't work. one of my saves seems to be working fine. It's only a problem when I enter a new game

You need to run SS2-RSD with the SCP mod, otherwise you're invulnerable for some reason. The latest betas prevent you from even loading SS2-RSD without SCP, but you must be running a previous version.

didn't work how? disabled all the mods and you are still invulnerable?

RoSoDude Downloaded the hotfix with scp beta on. AND still NOTHING changed!

start from a blank slate, clean GOG/steam build patched with SS2tool. is it working ok? if so, load SCP (and SHTUP-ND). still ok? now pistol hybrid. RealSG. and so on, ending with RSD mods. at one point, things will break. or not, if you are lucky.

voodoo47 Would you like to use a program to take control of my rig?

66483d3ae584evoodoo47

66483d3ae589f
technically I could, but it's no magic really, just starting with a clean tool patched build and adding mods one by one. it would just take me longer as remote support tools usually don't do so great at (3D accelerated) games.

voodoo47 So get rid of all the files and uninstall the game?

you can simply move the current SS2 folder away and let whatever content delivery system you are using create a new install - the idea is to start from a clean slate, the method doesn't matter too much. so;

-get a clean GOG/steam build
-patch up with SS2tool, run the game to see whether everything is working
-add SCP, fixed objects and SHTUP, run the game to see whether everything is (still) working
-keep adding mods until things break (you can do small batches, all graphics only mods are very safe)

Maybe you're just way too good at the game and literally nothing can even come close to hitting you?

Actually seriously though, new clean slate, new install, new game, with NO mods first, then install your mods, should do the trick.

Also remember load order - SCP comes below basically every other gameplay mod.
