I'm glad you're archiving this since old sites tend to vanish unexpectedly.
Have you thought about hosting a fanart gallery as well?

Yeah that's one of the reasons I collect such stuff, plus to have it all in one place.
Regarding fanart: Very few of the fanart pics I've seen were worth keeping, eg for SS2 there exist about a dozen images where someone slapped some filters over the well known SHODAN picture and called it fanart...

Now that you mention it...
Heh. I'll never be able to look at the drones the same way again.

Well yeah, I figured it was common knowledge that the cyborg drones were, ahem, "inspired" by Star Trek's Borg drones.
Damn, hard to believe
that episode
first aired TWENTY YEARS AGO.

Nope. I had no idea and it never even occurred to me.
Wow, twenty? Man. I remember watching TNG with my parents in syndication. Great stuff.

Hey - is there a verious of this for System Shock 2. I am using
Traveller
by Mongoose Publishing to create a roleplaying game scneario for a convention and would love to have someone's take on the monster stats.

I don't think so. The stats here are straight from the official strategy guide, and I haven't ever seen evidence of one for System Shock 2. It shouldn't be that hard to write up stats yourself, though. After all, the hybrids are pretty much just really strong people, most of which don't seem to be all that bright.

Quite a few stats are collected here:

In case someone wants to take some work of me: Send them a polite mail, explain what systemshock.org is, mainly that we're independent and ad-free, and ask if we can use their work here, giving appropriate credit.

With a bit of patience, you can get all the stats yourself using the editor.

Why don't you just copy them? It's not like these stats were created by that site. No one will get angry if you copy song lyrics either. :-|

Again
, a very nice list. Why are these threads not sticky/pinned ?
I never understood what happened to the Hopper when it dies, is it...melting ? Why ?
The Hopper is maybe the most common biggest enemy in the game, so maybe the developers did not want to risk too much visual trash in the corridors, but exploding to tiny pieces (for example) would have made much more sense to me.
Note: a single blast from the Sparq desintegrates corpses, while contained items fall free on the floor.

Because there aren't many threads in this forum anyway and it doesn't make much sense to have half of 'em stickied.

Is there any place that has information about each of the enemies? Y'know, like the histories behind how the mutants came about, why they ended up as they did, and all that jazz along with the stuff about their physiology.
