Updated. And yes the blood looks a bit slimey and "oily" in the image, it looks better in-game (no, you wont be able to study it in this much detail in-game). It's exaggerated for a simple reason, fluids looks closer to something slimey/glossy than paper cut-outs.

Why the green skin on the eggs? The original eggs have a flesh tone that's consistent with the other Many "stuff", goo, etc.

the eggs, dripping goo and blood look really nice, but I'll be honest, can't say the same about the biomatter. the one from SHTUP hits the spot, at least for me.

I'm also noticing an upgraded turret muzzle flash, looks good.

ZB: I have an alternative skin for it, i can upload that version, it's basicly the original texture but higher resolution/added detail. Though i don't think the green (the original is in fact also green, just sligthly less so) looks out-of-place, not like the original dripping goo texture for example..

Voodoo: well i wasnt trying to replicate the original model or texture with the biomateral, tried doing something more alien / repulsive, but yes i can see how many will prefer SHTUP. It's also something that doesnt come off very good in pictures, needs to be seen animated.

Edit: updated the Egg, just noticed it was missing a texture.
Edit: added a "vanilla version" for the Egg.

I would try some ginger, tomato paste, soy sauce and oil, half cook it than bake it to make the outside crispy. and maybe that black annelid egg, hard boiled?

I have thousands of filters so it's hard to be specific, probably around 100 just for making things wet or "gooey".

If you want a really good program for creating (or downloading user created filters) i can highly recommend FilterForge. The animated Biomatter for example was done in Filterforge, my water textures are usually done with it too.

How did you get the on-screen blood splats that spawn when the player is shot? Can you post a DML file if a gamesys change is needed?

Vurt, I like the new eggs but noticed some transparency issues on two of the upper flaps of the eggs. Do you see this on your machine also?

The impact blood is already posted above, it doesnt need any .dml.

Those type of transparency issues is probably due to some setting in the editor... i'm currently modding Thief2 and i noticed similar problems with trees, it's cut off when there's another transparent object behind it :/

if i remember correctly dmls can be used to change the property of a model etc, so i will probably need to read up on how to do those..

Maybe I'm missing something but I don't believe that it's normal gamesys behavior to have the blood splats spawn from the player when you get shot, it will only show up on enemies that you shoot. I'm guessing you have a gamesys mod that added this property to the player. If you know the gamesys settings, you can port these to a .DML and include this in your package and it will automatically add the effect without modifying the gamesys.

Wow, that's crazy. I'll run around and get shot some more but I tried this a bunch last night and didn't ever get it to show up - I guess I could be doing something wrong. Do you have Secmod or some other mod installed? I think those mods added functionality like this.

note on the eggs - at some places, they seem to be slightly more transparent then they really should be. looking at the source files, a slight edit to the meaty texture (Clustero.dds) would probably fix it.

//duh, already reported a few posts above.

//ok, this can be fixed by getting rid of the alpha channel on the main texture surface while selecting a fitting background color. I really have no idea whether this breaks something else, so do it at your own risk.

I removed transparency completetly for that texture, see if that works, it doesnt look like it would be needed for that mesh, hopefully it's not used anywhere else, where it's needed..
