I can live with the new texture. Somehow it vaguely reminds me more of DX Hongkong then ugly 70ies. Must be the triangles.

Wait, oh god you're right, it really does evoke the "piss-colored triangles" aesthetic of Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Well, I happen to *like* the 70's look, aesthetically, so that's probably a large part of my personal affinity (though again, I completely understand why many do not).  And System Shock always kind of gave me that 70's era sci-fi vibe with all the bright colors, etc., so it tends to fit for me.

But anyways, the game has influences from numerous sources and time periods of sci-fi. From the 70's to TNG (late 80s - 90s), Star Wars and many more.

just a short summary as I was short on time and a bit distracted with everything going on, so there's probably a lot here I missed:

10/31/2020 - Dev Work w/ Swin (& Daniel joins later)

* Showing off gore system.  There are systems still coming he can't show yet (some gibb stuff), but he's working on effects this stream; seems to be a lot of behind the scenes stuff.

* He shows the virus mutant and how he attacks.

11/11/20 Dev Stream w/ Daniel

* More work on polishing up the levels.

* Mainly work on Storage level.

* He's placing the main assets, etc.  Blood, gore etc. still needs done. 

* Laser rapier is in but not all effects are done.

* He can't talk about ETA right now.  A lot is done, but there's still plenty left to do.

* Unreal crashes late in the stream, and Daniel's thankful for autosaving.

My notes for storage stream:

* A few more of the enemies appear to be implemented, or at the very least have placeholder models in place, since the last stream I watched.
* Gorilla-Tiger mutant - In (model only, not textured). Security-Bot-1 - In. You see both around 2 minute mark.
* Forklift robot - In
* Is the new gore system inspired by Doom Eternal's - No
* Level looks pretty far along
* Repair-bot - In (seen around 15:40). Modelled and textured.
* Cyborg warrior still not fully done
