These models were a part of Arcaniac's Graphics Pack (though partly disabled) and are put up here again as separate mods for convenience.


Notes:

This Aliens style pulse rifle replaces the Assault Rifle.
It was converted from a freely available 3ds Max model with permission.

Johnny Cash Revolver replaces pistol.

The SCP package contains SCP compatible Arcaniac shotgun and laser pistol (requires NewDark, probably).

I had to re-order them all again, fixed minor errors and added mod.ini files. And guess what I haven't added my own name either. Take it easy pal. :)

when i unpack them to my ss2 directory and start the game i can see the ne weapons but nothing else except walls and floor no other objects like signs switches. doors are jet black. help!

Your SS2 install is not mod-ready.
Remove the files again and run Kolya's Tool to make your install mod-ready.
Then reinstall the mod using the Mod Manager.

Oh nice models, especially laserpistol and grenade launcher that is just polish on the originals :)

MOD Manager tells me that Arcaniac Laser Pistol conflics with Arcaniac Grenade Launcher. What's up with that? :/

Take a look into the mod archives and find out which files overlap and whether this can be safely ignored or not.

one complaint about the pulse rifle: it should be lower down and not up neaer the shoulder so as to be more like in aliens (plus being a huge aliens fan i would like to say you should have used the pulse rifle as the grenade launcher model because the m41a has a grenade launcher mounted on it =D)

Now while I'm sure a huge ammount of effort was put into these, the only ones I can say I like are the laser pistol and the pistol, IMO, only because they are the only ones that would fit in (Ok, mabye not the pistol LOL). Still, they are amazing to look at.

So I've manged to make a no hands version of the Pulse Rifle. Just have to apply transparent textures to some parts of the hand and all of the arm textures.

I've tried importing the model it to blender to edit (bin -> E -> 3ds, vice versa), but the imported models are triangulated. The triangulated model has messed up shading (each triangle mesh face has different shading etc). Is that normal? Anyway to fix that? Not a problem with the model itself, just the method to fix it? Thanks

Thank you, I ll take a look at the video.

Edge split, auto-smooth and flat/smooth shading doesnt fix it.

I presume that Garaude shading is "smooth shading" in blender?
