Sounds great, I'll download it ASAP and give it a try! You had me at "like Zelda".

I wanted to include this interesting cave story style game called Hacker9
https://wahiko.itch.io/hacker9
'Hacker9 is an action game where you explore dungeons and facilities, and collect servers.
There will be times when you will encounter various traps and events, and obtain dropped items along the way.'

I love this game. This game is like Zelda but with gun shooting bubbles. There is story and very entertaining music, location and graphics. After time of game you will get extra weapons. This is very Super Metroid kind game so if you back to one erased area monsters will back but probably you will find enter into another location. After longer time of playing Cave Story games seems to be confusing sometimes and drastically tryin to be long as possible by some quest...Impressive into only OK i guess

Oh yeah, I've seen it now - it's one of the bosses from Cave Story.  :)

That link doesn't load from this hotel connection. What is it?
I think it shows a deal for a figurine of Balrog.

I kinda doubt you played the game, ZylonBane. Cave Story is a retro platformer and an obvious labour of love by its creator who filled this game with cool details and polished the gameplay so much that it's pure fun to play. It's how you remember the platformers of your childhood. And the music...okay I could go on and on here. The point is: Of course there are action platformers today and a few even have nice details and fun gameplay, like Trine. But Cave Story is still a whole different league, because it doesn't rely on cool physics effects or much graphical effects at all. It's quite simple but does what it does so well that you'll be sitting there with a childish grin on your face and never wonder where the time has gone.
You should check it out some time.

Yes, it is a shame that nobody makes action platforming games anymore.

What.

I just beat the game today.  It's a pretty amazing and challenging game and I actually cared about the characters (and hated others).  Kind of a shame we don't see games like this nowadays.

Yes, of course. It's a very entertaining PC jump'n'run.

Cave Story is a freeware Japanese PC side-scrolling platformer game (English translation exists). Its sole developer, Pixel spent five years making this game with solid controls, smooth gameplay, a great cast of characters and dialogue, an interesting plot, good chiptune music and beautiful old-school 2-D artwork. The game features several boss battles, tons of items to collect, all kinds of added secret bonuses and special challenges, various and considerably different methods of playing through the game depending on your actions and multiple endings.
