the time is now - only took 2 years. probably 2 more until I get to actually playing it.so, Powerslave Exhumed is out, but I'll definitely wait for a 50% discount
Now that's a project to watch. I'll wait for the final release, but that's definitely worth a play.
Snap! I just came here to post about the newly released (released today) Duke Nukem Restoration First Slice 1.0 . This is the first release of a project to convert the released 2001 source code of Duke Nukem Forever to a full and final game...
Whilst not build engine specifically, a month or so ago saw the release of "The Force Engine". This is a reverse engineered source port for Star Wars: Dark Forces...
Retro Gamer Magazine had an extensive article on the games development, with interviews with devs, screenshots taken from the various versions etc. Tracking that article down be the tricky bit.
iirc, a 80% finished 2001 build is in the hands of one of the developers (Randy Pitchfork), but he said he will not release it.
so if this is getting leaked, then that's great, very sure the community will be able to finish it up, and give the world the DNF it deserves.
and it will be called PowerSlave Exhumed;the NDS PowerSlave(K)EX is going to be based on the PS1/Saturn version, not the pc DOS version.
