Lol... he did lure me in ;)

Yeah I guess no harm done or anything but I (like most people) like that satisfying feeling of seeing the little wheel turn next to "mods" and thinking "Yay!!  Somebody made a mod or changes have been made to an old one or somebody is making a comment about one that might be remotely interesting" and then you enter the thread and read something like "lawlz me 2 :D " after 2 yrs of inactivity and you're like "ughhh...."  For a moment I thought Merc had returned or something... BUT NOW life is not worth living :(   Just kidding :)

the perception of added value might change from person to person. while his post has (arguably) no value at all, it contains nothing negative (swearing, stupidity etc), it simply expresses the feelings/experience of the person - and there is nothing wrong with that, I believe. and it has managed to spawn another post with comical/entertaining value, and that gives it at least some purpose.

..want to hear something useless, but funny? when playing ss1, I have always thought that those grey-white things in the upper region of his head are eyebrows.

looking at the ss2 model, I guess they were not, heh.

Since we're posting in an ancient thread, I may as well point out that I.C.E. Breaker is here: https://www.systemshock.org/index.php?topic=1466.0

Looks far better than my old attempts at that direction :thumbwink:

I count 24 total.  Quite a few but split up into decks, it doesn't seem as overwhelming.  I wish someone could scan in ICEbreaker for the enemy illustrations though.

It's a HUGE part of it though. SS1 has so bloody many AI types, the prospect of modeling them all pretty much kills every SS1 conversion project.

A shame enemy models isn't all it would take to get CCP going again.

This should go well with CCP. Y'know... if they ever release the Medical deck demo.

I love this.

The look on it's face... priceless. :thumbwink:

Yah, he looks cartoonish, but so what. I've had this mod for a while since Mercurius once put it up on TTLG under the simple but descriptive name of BLARG! I don't think it's to be taken so serious. And it's fun to beat cartoons into submission too!  :smurf:

Won't you change your mind if such a cartoon will meet you in real life dark alley?

But maybe on the other hand...textures with more coulours would probably do the trick.

This mod replaces the pipe hybrid with a mutant from System Shock 1.

It's just for fun and nostalgia, enjoy.

-This mod is purely cosmetic in nature
-It will conflict with Rebirth Mod or any that alter the pipe hybrid's model (can be used as an override when activated last)
-Animations are wonky but serviceable
