MOTHER has the basics, for more visit the SS2 Editing Wiki and the Engineering subforum.

As I recall, he would have made more tutorial videos had his video card not crapped out on him.  I know because I bugged him relentlessly to make a series and he was polite enough not to tell me to fuck off.
Better two videos than nothing. Do you know where I can find more ShockEd tutorials? Thanks

I know is a bit necro posting here, but I would like to say thank you to Kolya for keeping these videos and upload elsewhere. They gone from Raph's youtube channel unfortunately. He is the one developer of Purkaia's software The Shock Project.

Even though the ShockEd scene is mostly dead...

Wouldn't say that, although if you mean nothing  new being released, yeah it has been quiet lately.

Good to see a tutorial covering the basics in a detailed manner. Even though the ShockEd scene is mostly dead, this should still be useful for modders seeking to edit the original levels extensively, and even help in understanding Dromed.

These beginners tutorials by Raph date back to at least 2009 but should for the most part still be applicable.
The original tutorial Raph refers to at the start can be found here.
The editor "ShockEd" can be installed via SS2Tool these days.
For more tutorials ask MOTHER or click the °tutorial tag.
