I just move my entire Steam games folder out of Program Files. Solves these sort of problems forever.

technically you can, but you shouldn't. there is a good reason why we want you to NOT have the game under program files (or windows system, or any other insane location that has special permission access).

After I run the tool can I put it back?  I run the game off of Steam so that could cause me issues.

the game must NOT be in program files, so move it out of there and the run the tool (from any place, and then point it at ss2.exe).

I put the DMM in my folder, Programfiles86/steam/steamapps/common/SS2.  I also put in the SS2Tool.  But when I try to activate the tool it won't let me select a path.

I tried activating SHTUP on the mod manager but I don't notice anything.  I'm guessing the tool needs to be installed first?  Please help
