Yes. I can't even remember the last time I was excited for an upcoming new game, the past few years have conditioned me to expect beautiful and glossy disappointment after beautiful and glossy disappointment.

I've felt this way beginning in 2007 where almost every game was at the flip of a switch dumb as rocks (Oblivion, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Tomb Raider: Legend, Gears of War, Turok Reboot, Asassins Creed, Uncharted etc etc etc), and hitting its peak in 2011. You're late to the party but better late than never.

My last one was Cyberpunk 2077. We all know how that went when release day came. It wasn't a total desaster for me, as I actually did not experience the majority of the bugs and the game wasn't all that bad, even then. But they had promised so much more and I wanted to believe in it, although I should've known better. This was an exception though. I've learned my lessons a long time ago.

Wait and see, as usual. I have no expectations for this one.

This will surely be every bit as successful as Underworld Ascendant was.

I tend to agree.

I'm going to post a controversial opinion and say it's essentially impossible to make a multiplayer immersive sim, for a multitude of reasons.

Not many infos yet and I have serious doubts about it but it's definitely something to watch out for:

RPS: "Warren Spector and Thief's game director are making a multiplayer immersive sim called Thick As Thieves"
(...) Looking Glass-style extraction stealth game coming to PC in 2026.
