hey ZB, what's up with the "(animal)" sub at the end of the big reveal?

listened to it three times and still can't hear it, but ok.

ok, if that's "animal", then the next ones are "crafty" and "so forth". I think there's no spoon in this case.

I mean it's like maybe there, but I had to gather all of my imagination (which is, admittedly, not a lot, but still) to sort of hear it.

also, it makes little sense for Shodan to semi-secretly call the player "animal" just once - she has names that are much lower on the evolutionary ladder reserved for him.

they are just instances of the big reveal's jibberish-y squeak as far as I can tell (using the same background noise multiple times would not be surprising). attaching one of the audio files, comments are welcome.

guess my brain's audio processing capabilities hit their limit with being able to convert one of the assassin mumbles into "we can navigate".

Here it is extracted from the three different WAV files it's used in, spliced together. It's clearly the same base speech clip each time, so anyone who can't hear it even in this one might want to schedule an appointment with an ear doctor.

Well, I can hear the animal part. But I think it's kind of a deceptive thing. Like, if no one would have said that it says animal. I wouldn't have heard it.
It feels more like a coincidence that some noises cuddled together to form something similiar sounding.

It's cool that you possibly found a word in this. But even if we could identify it without any doubt, it is meant to be unintelligible and therefore doesn't belong in the subs in my opinion.

It's like describing the tricks of the sound effects artist ("coconuts beaten together") instead of what it's meant to be in the movie ("horse ride"). That's not what subtitles are for.
