Mwahaha, I figured it out kinda!  :sly:

So, what you need is the wrapper, SSEE version 1e.16, and the latest version of System Shock Classic,

You simply need to put the DATA and SOUND files from the RES folder of SSEE or Classic, and then replace the ones in the wrapper.

After that, take your sshock.ini file from SSEE and replace the one in the wrapper, or change the text so they match.

And voila, the data boxes in cyberspace are no longer spinning and twitching really fast like something out of Jacob's Ladder.

(Would it be fine if I shared my sshock.ini file here, or would that be copyright infringement?)

yeah, share it, I will probably update this if it's just a cfg setting.

also definitely use Classic resources.
