even if so, the wrapper is not going to get updated, so it is what it is.

Mwahaha, I figured it out kinda!  :sly:

So, what you need is the wrapper, SSEE version 1e.16, and the latest version of System Shock Classic,

You simply need to put the DATA and SOUND files from the RES folder of SSEE or Classic, and then replace the ones in the wrapper.

After that, take your sshock.ini file from SSEE and replace the one in the wrapper, or change the text so they match.

And voila, the data boxes in cyberspace are no longer spinning and twitching really fast like something out of Jacob's Ladder.

(Would it be fine if I shared my sshock.ini file here, or would that be copyright infringement?)

yeah, share it, I will probably update this if it's just a cfg setting.

also definitely use Classic resources.

I would also like to point out that it does not like it when Discord is on in the background, it stutters and even crashes the game. Though, it could be a crappy computer problem on my end. IDK.

Just finished a successful playthrough, this was with the EE files. I don't know if it will work with the classic files, might do a playthrough with them later, unless someone else wants to do it.

it actually should be the other way around, you should use the Classic files, EE is not recommended/might cause issues.
