Currently it only supports x2, x4, etc... with
d3d_disp_scaled_2d_overlay 64

other options doesn't help, the original full size UI was made for 480p (it's the one I prefer), it will scale perfectly in x2 mode for 960p, but will keep the 960p scaling for 1440p, despite the fact that 1440p is exactly 480p x3 (in one axis at least).

one workaround I do is to force 2160p on my GPU for my 1440p display, then it uses 1920p scaling for 2160p which is pretty close, but it has it's downsides, it puts more stress on my GPU and some sections suffers from some serious frame drops I don't encounter in native 1440p (I have quite old hardware), and the UI rendering while scaling pretty well will still appear somewhat blurry because of the upscaling/downscaling shenanigans.

you probably mean pixel perfect scaling.

the way pixel perfect scaling works is you take your vertical resolution, divide it by a power of two number (currently it's either 2 or 4, doubt a monitor that could do 8 exists), and if you get a number greater than 480 but smaller than 960, then the final upscaled hud will look like it was rendered using that resolution. so for example, 3440x2160 auto scaled hud (4x) size is/looks the same as 1920x1080 auto scaled (2x) and 960x540 unscaled (1x). so to be able to use more than 2x, your monitor's vertical resolution has to be at least 1920 (4x 480).

and it's pretty safe to say that if non-power of two pixel perfect scaling modes have not been implemented by now, then it's probably not happening at all - I'm guessing it just isn't technically feasible.

Thanks for answering, a bit sad, but it is what it is.
I guess a solution, at least for the bluriness thing, would be to play with no scaling on a 16/9 960p resolution. Problem is, that's going to do a lot of black space on my monitor around the game area. Might work just fine for 1080p monitors though.
I guess I have no other choice but to work and earn money and get myself a better GPU and a native 4K monitor (to do 1920p no scaling).

yeah, 1440p is kind of a bummer resolution (as far as pixel perfect scaling is concerned), as 2x will not be enough for most people, and 4x is out of reach.

getting a monitor that has a vertical resolution of 1920 pixels or more to do proper 4x would indeed be the best (if not the cheapest) solution.
