Speaking of old PC gaming, jesus remember the dreaded windows updates that would shave 10 minutes off of your possible gaming time? Hell it was probably way more than 10 minutes on dial-up. Memory is foggy but I remember some awful wait times.

fortunately, no. by the time automatic windows updates started to be a thing over here, dsl/fiber was already everywhere.

we've got one thousand and one problems over here, but bad internet ain't one of them.
