32 bit color?

 What exactly does this mean? How can I tell if it is working after using SS2Tool? When I go to the resolution setting in the game it has 1024 x 768 x 16...does the 16 mean 16 bit color?

Unfortunately the in-game resolution display doesn't get updated to reflect the new colour settings.
How can you tell? Well if you had seen SS2 before you'd probably be able to tell.
Otherwise you can start ddfixgui.exe and hit "Remove Patch". If the game still works after that, you'll notice the difference. Of course you can re-apply ddfix after that.
