Topic: Title screen frozen Read 2009 times

I've been trying for the past few days to get System Shock 2 running on my XP system. I'm so close I can almost taste it, but I've hit a roadblock.

Recently I installed SS2Tool v3.1 which solved a multitude of my problems, but added a completely new one. Now whenever I boot into the game the title screen is just frozen. I can still move the mouse and I can HEAR the cursor moving over the buttons, but there's no visual feedback. This doesn't have any effect over the actual game itself, and I can navigate the menus blind if I need to, but trying to load/save a file or bind my keys is a living nightmare.

What exactly is causing this problem?

In ddfix.ini try commenting out the line: MenuUpdateDelay=1

Also try turning off any secondary monitors and/or secondary graphics cards.

Commenting out the line didn't work. I don't have any secondary monitors or graphics cards to my knowledge, but how would I go about turning them off(just in case)?

Monitor via windows display properties and a card via the device manager.
I think you'd know if you had a secondary monitor. ;)

Anyway, I'd try uncommenting the MenuUpdateDelay line again in ddfix.ini and playing a bit with it.

Setting MenuUpdateDelay to 25 seemed to fix things. Thank you for the help.

getting the same thing.  tried to change the setting to 25 (and tried a few other other numbers) without any results.
