Win 7 32 or 64 bit-game runs normally but you can't see anything

JEBUS CHRIST! SS2 just constantly refuses to work for me! I followed the installation guide which helped and I di the video guide thing as well. So, after watching the intro and looking at the loading screen, it all goes black. I can hear stuff in the background and when I press the move forward key, a guy starts talking to me. So it's nice to know I'm moving around, but my character is BLIND. When I press esc the menu comes up fine, but the rest is all black! PLZ HELP!
