Hey there,
I just recently installed SS2 on an old Windows 98 machine I had laying around. I installed the game and got past the tutorial just fine. I got to the first level at the Med-Sci deck, and opened my inventory.

For some reason, there are two inventory windows that open up, right next to one another. They appear a strange shade of purple or magenta.  Same thing occurs with text on-screen as well; it shows up as a weird purple color and two "copies" appear on-screen next to one another.

What can I do to fix this? Would changing the resolution help any?
I can take a screenshot if you don't understand what I'm saying. I can't really put it into words very well. :P

Thanks.

EDIT:
Forgot to mention: This doesn't just occur with the inventory screen, this occurs with the entire interface (Psi/HP bar, ammo counter, reticule, etc).

Sounds like a graphics driver problem.

I thought it may have had to do with the 3D drivers that installed along the "normal" drivers. I've already tried updating, didn't work.

I thought this was going to be a thread about Windows 8.

Sure, here's what I got:

AMD Sempron 3300+, 2 GHz
2 GB/RAM
100 GB HDD

2Gb ram? I'm surprised the pc even boots up, win98 has serious issues with anything over 512MB. try finding out what kind of onboard graphics card you have (either by entering the device manager or the vga control panel, which may, or may not be available).

It's listed as a Nvidia GeForce 6100. I installed the drivers for the nForce chipset that came with the computer...
I'll try installing the drivers for the GeForce and see what happens.
