please report any map, object or texture issues in this topic, for example:

-misaligned, or obviously incorrect textures
-objects floating in the air, sunken into the surface etc
-miscellaneous anomalies, like enemies being able to walk through locked doors

basically, anything that will make you go "WTF did I just see". make sure you have the latest ADaoB installed, reports from vanilla game have (almost) no value. please do NOT report issues related to bloom, or related to other mods (Alya mod, Secmod etc). also, no need to report issues with corpse placement, those are all known.

-make sure to include a short description of the problem, a screenshot, the mods used (if any), and whether you have used the latest ss2tool or not (if not, add what version are you running, GOG, manually patched cd version etc). sharing a save would be great (one could assume that I'm insane enough to know the entire game to the last nook and cranny by now, and actually be right, but digging around my memory banks burns away precious cpu cycles that could be better utilized by doing the actual fixes). sendspace or similar online storages are pretty easy to use.

There is a 0 and C on my keypads just fine when using this and SHTUP.
Yeah, but if I am not mistaken, the layout of the keyboard in hack mode and of the actual in game model differs slightly (one of the keys is larger? I do not remember correctly - anyways I am 99% sure that they are not 100% identical).

EDIT: I found a texture that is not remade neither in Four Hundred nor in SHTUP. It is in obj.crf/txt16/exithall.pcx and I must say it sticks out like a sore thumb :)

Here's one I keep seeing all over the place during my current run. I recall seeing it in Engineering, Ops and Rec (where this shot was taken). No idea what it should actually say on it though.

this is a known issue/limitation. the next version of SHTUP will fix this.

I already reported these low res textures in engineering and was informed about the upcoming version of SHTUP. I do not know when it is coming, but I hope it is soon :)

I promised myself to wait for the latest ADaoB and SHTUP but the temptation was too high and I already started playing with the current versions, so I guess I will make another playthrough once the updated versions are out.

ZB is the team lead of that project.  I would go by what he has to say on the matter of timing.

Speaking of ADaOB, I was actually thinking of reimplementing it using the DML scripts so that no gamesys modifications are required. I've already learned the ins and outs of DML so I'll probably give that a shot at some point. I'll post a topic if I actually do get somewhere with it.

I am playing with SHTUP, 400, ADaoB and vurt's enhancements and whenever I notice something out of order, I grab a screenshot. I made an album on imgur with all the things I found and with descriptions of the issues. I hope someone finds this helpful:

I will be adding new screens as I progress in game.

If you think this is a fool's errand, let me know and I will not update it.

it is a sticker (object) slapped on the wall, so SHTUP territory, but not sure whether a replacement is planned for the first NewDark release.

btw, that's actually a piece of motherboard, one of the easter eggs found in the game.

Now that you mention it, I am starting to see it. Is that a fragment of ISA slot or PATA socket on the right? :)
If that is a picture of a mobo, it theoretically should be easier to recreate it using.. a picture of a mobo.

And yeah, I know it is a texture put on the wall, but I assume the intention was to create a sense of a hole in the wall, not of a sticker on the wall. Ideally, the wall should be recessed in that place (I hope I am using the right word) but that would require messing with level geometry, I guess.

Could also belong into the ADaoB thread, but what the hell, seems like a good idea.

I noticed that EM0202.wav does not play during the Kryo escape. Is there a reason for this that I'm not aware of, like the player being bombarded by mails at that time or the mail interrupting the door code log?

Loving the huge increase in SS2 love these days.

And the texture might be a missed out texture from the previous release. Was a few left undone if I'm not mistaken.

I finished hydro yesterday, so I will have some screens to add, mostly plants clipping through level geometry.

if you are using vurt's mods, this is to be expected, as most of those models are slightly larger than the originals, but do post them so I can make some dmls - it's not like I wanted to sleep today anyway.

I really wouldn't consider this an easter egg. Just someone at Irrational needing a generic "tech" texture in a hurry.

That's the easy part. The hard part is recreating the wall damage around it.

I added some pictures to the gallery - I wonder what is the deal with the banded "halos" from light sources.

That's you choosing wrong bloom settings and imgur being a crappy image upload service.

Sigh. The "low res door" you've posted is in fact a SHTUP high-res door. Try playing with SHTUP disabled and then tell me that looks low-res.

If you really want to stick with those bloom settings, you can get rid of the banding by turning on either the 10-bit or HDR render buffer (I forget which).

This is probably worth pointing out.

This is the only gravshaft I've noticed with this problem, so it might not be related to Four Hundred itself.

True (it's not four hundred related). (The mall is just a mess of texture misalignments, I have no idea how hard it is to work with ShockEd, but looking at some maps it certainly is HARD -- I'd need super-capital-letters to write that the way I say it in my head)

not that hard when you get the hang of it, but anyway, no need to bother - this will be fixed in the new map pack.

Well, in my defense, the door does look low-res compared to the rest of the awesome high res textures, apologies :)

As for halos - I used settings which ZylonBane suggested in one of the threads, but I am not a great fan of bloom so I may tone it down.
