Does anyone know a way to convert midi into an XMI file so that it will work in system shock?

here's a little test song I made in a midi program but I need to get it into XMI before shock will be able to play it in game.

EDIT: tracks so far

Update: If anyone's wondering whats going on, I just recently moved and been busy with some things so I haven't been able to work too much on the tracks for a bit but I just got most of a 4th track done, should be finished that one within a couple days.

If anyone wants to collaborate or anything for some songs let me know too.

I don't know any tool but I searched a bit around and the company RAD Tools bought the company which did the tool to create xmi. Don't know if it still supports creation of xmi, but here's the link http://www.radgametools.com/miles.htm

On the website of the creator you can download the full source code to the old DOS tool which probably was used for System Shock.
http://www.thegleam.com/ke5fx/ scrool down to " AIL Version 2, the complete Open Source release of the Miles Sound System Version 2 for DOS"

Additionally I found a tool which also supports writing of xmi at http://www.fmjsoft.com/awavestudio.html

Nice dude simply amazing, downloaded shareware of awave studio and now I got my own title loop track in system shock 1.

thanks a million, now I can spend a couple weeks plunking away at midi songs haha the best.

I'll post up some tracks after I get through a nice chunk if anyone wants.

You do that. Having some variety is always nice and I like the track you posted.

thanks for the compliments, it always helps. any criticism anyone has to offer i'd appreciate too.
for the next couple tracks i'm gonna rip riffs that I like out of the original system shock tracks and modify them a bit and remix them around.
maybe I should create a new thread for thiis since its not about midi to xmi anymore lol

I hope this gets finished, I always thought the original soundtrack to SS1 never exactly fit the atmosphere. Keep up the good work.

Side-Note: Can't wait to try it in GUS. hehe.

What is XMI? I know there is .xm, which is like FastTracker/ScreamTracker/etc. Is it anything like that? If so:
I haven't messed with what has been posted here, or listened yet, but I have, in the past, opened MIDI files in ModPlug (now OpenMPT I think), saved them as .xm or .it or something, been able to reassign instruments, effects, whatever.

Also, I could barely remember my old TTLG name. I remember almost all of you guys from years ago! You guys are seriously die-hards, and I'm glad there is so much new SS2 content for me to see now that I haven't touched the game in a while.

Also, off topic, I correctly answered the verification question like three times and had my post rejected.

XMI is some kind of MIDI derivative (eXtendend MIDI) by John Miles (Miles Sound System).
Which verfication question?
