[Multiplayer] Crash before meeting Korenchkin at command bridge

Well I'm currently replaying this game with a mate and we ran into this problem that his game always crashes after we're supposed to meet Korenchkin at the command bridge, basically what we can do is travel with the tram to the middle station and then his game crashes. We also tried to just strictly take the tram to the last stop, but then the game crashes there for him.

However it doesn't crash on my PC and I'm also the host of the game. I'm using the GOG version, while he's using the Steam version, but we both applied the unnoficial 2.4.2 patch.

I've attached his shock2.log, crash.dmp and our savefile.

Thanks in advance, we'd appreciate any help since we really want to finish this playtrough.

Edit: We tried it today after we both installed the SS2Tool and it worked, though we ran into 2 level changing crashes. However we're about to get to the rickenbacker, so I guess this can be marked as solved.
