Hello again, sorry for the double post, but i tried it with the mods deactivated, and it still crashes when I choose navy.

I would not blame ddfix for this... looks like you have problems loading next level. That could be caused by uh...
Well have you tried to use SS2Tool patching up?
Try to use ADaoB, it will replace most .mis files and gamesys, that could have become corrupted or something.

I tried installing ADaoB, it works..kinda lol...

What happens now is that when I choose NAVY, it doesn't crash and come up with the dialog about sending microsoft an error report, but instead just crashes and freezes...

try renaming LGVID.AX in your SS2 game folder to something like LGVID.AX.BAK(whatever name works).  i've had the same problem.  there is supposed to be a cutscene that plays there, and for some reason my installation would play the intro but would crash the game when that certain cutscene played.

Thx Autologic! That file was indeed causing the crashes, and once I renamed it, it solved the problem!
