This is Eldron's updated PSI-Amp v2 (as discussed on TTLG).
Fans respectfully call it "the deathstar".

note: for the sake of convenience, the Amp is now included in Tacticool Complete - no need to use this if you already have the full Tacticool package.

You can use some OSA skills without playing a fullblown OSA character. In this case it is advantageous to go for an OSA career during the training phase as it's cheaper on CMs to buy other skills lateron then tacking on OSA skills.

I tried downloading the SS2 Eldron PSIAmp but the link doesn't seem to work anymore. If Anyone can upload it again I would greatly apperciate it. Damn I really wanted this mod... :sad:

I just tear out the wrench from Arcaniac's True Redux mod for my SS2. Am I right that for the time being the world's PsiAmp textures are the same? Eldron, we need you! Renewed world Amp textures. Please, make it happen!

Amazing, I always have this on. The little glowing circle looks great in darker areas, and you can really see the detail of the PSI-Amp in well-lighted areas.

Maybe it's just me, but the arm & hand in the screen shot look better than what I'm used to seeing.

Is there another mod to replace Goggles' arm & hand?

The arm/hand is always a part of the weapon model. So when you use weapon mods they're likely to update the arm as well.

Btw, did anyone notice that Eldron's hand model lacks (I think) vhot property? Meaning that any effect of any of the psi abilities is incorrectly produced?

Didn't know that...I think by default all weapon effects are generated at the center of the reticle if there's no vhot so most of the time it's not very noticeable.  One thing I did notice however is that there are a couple of transparent pixels in the amp texture that you can see light and stuff through when you walk around...

Well, Eldron probably missed it because there are no psi effects anywayin the original save the green circle and a few others. Or maybe he didn't care for the same reason.

I too would have loved to see one.  It's up to Eldron though and I can understand that his attention is drawn elsewhere.  In the mean time, you can check out the one I made and see if that's good enough for your liking....it's not very good but you may like it more than the original and it does mimic Eldron's design to some effect.  Just go back and check RocketMan's Alternative Weapons

Hey RocketMan I downloaded and installed your PSI Amp a few days ago, but I thought it was also a model so I deleted it. I think your version is just a world model, isn't it?

Yes, it says so in the thread too.

At some point I asked Eldron if we could merge his amp and Rocket's word model... Not sure what happened to that.
