Why haven't anyone made a remake of System Shock 2 yet?

I have been wanting to play this game for quite some time.
But I haven't got it, I only have the downloaded version from home of the underdogs.
And that version doesn't work!
But why haven't 2K released a Windows xp version of it yet?

Sorry, but 2K have no rights for System Shock 2 so there is absolute no way that 2K would make working XP version of it. And if they somehow aquire all rights, I highly doubt that they would do that anyway.

EA owns all rights.

I can get to the main menu, but when I have selected new game and chosen what diffculty to play in.
It just quits!

This sounds like another video problem. Have you tried renaming LGVID.AX?
The game should start though without videos then.

Also make sure you have a folder named "current" in your install dir.

Bad news, Kolya.
It worked in the beginning.
But when I entered basic training and got to the part where you get to learn about using switches.
It just hang up.
