Guys, is it normal that the definitive +8 cyber modules give you +20 cyber modules in impossible difficulty ? It's hardly vanilla :s
Not that I dislike having extra cyber modules by any means but just wanted to be sure to not make SHODAN upset !

Are you talking about the Naturally Able perk?

Because they increased the cyber modules it gives you.

yes, considering how useless 8 modules are at pretty much any point of the game, the naturally able os upgrade cm bonus has been increased to 20.

again, the simplest explanation of our scope is "whatever an official patch would do", and tweaking the os upgrades is a very vanilla thing - remember, lethal weapon has been nerfed from +50% to just +35% by the last official SS2 patch.

same goes for the rest of the balance tweaks purists consider controversial, like nerfing/boosting weapon damage - again, official patches do this all the time, so such changes are well within scope.

Hey guys! I was going to run this with the old multiplayer Impossible difficulty mod but Blue's Mod Manager gave me a warning telling me these aren't compatible with one another? Anyone know of a mod that would allow both to function together, and if not, do you guys have any plans to maybe fold the MP Impossible difficulty mod into an alternative version of SCP 3? It would be awesome, but I also have no idea if it would involve more work than it is worth for you guys.

yes, they are not compatible. to make it work, the MP difficulty mod would have to be converted into the dml format - doable, but no idea whether someone will actually do it. I may have a look at it at some point, but can't tell whether next week or next year.

//nope, the stuff that needs to be changed is stored outside the reach of dmls as far as I can tell, so this is a no go.

 A shame really.. I would have loved to try out MP again with this mod running ..

Hey, I really like y'alls work, makes the game a much smoother experience, but why did you get rid of the localized pyrokinesis effect of not taking damage from droid explosions? Could you possibly add that back in?
I'm a bit of a masochist and am trying to do a psy/melee run on impossible but its actually impossible if you cant kill machines with melee without getting blown up. If y'all could fix I will love you forever!

Or if it's possible to like tweak some .ini settings or whatever to add it back in, that would be awesome. idk let me know. Thanks!

iirc, beta3 changes the immunity to partial damage reduction. not sure whether this can be (dml) tweaked - ZB would probably know.

Because localized pyro only protects you from heat damage. Having it also completely protect you from the shock and shrapnel of an exploding robot made no damn sense, y'all.

It also didn't make sense that it only protected you from protocol droid explosions.

The idea is that you (the player) is literally on fire.  That's why enemies get damaged from being in close proximity to you.  If you're on fire, then you clearly have at least a partial immunity to heat for the duration of the effect so fire damage from other sources should be less effective on you.
