hope is a shitty thing, you are better off without it.

Sadly, it seems that this nails it  -  EXPECT the release of SCP Beta 2 at Halloween 2015, on the one-year anniversary since the release of SCP Beta 1.

Please nail down and address all of the added, continued, extended, fixed, maintained, matched, moved, relocated, removed, shifted and all of the texture-related issues, where possible.

You speak with the same tone I do when telling another department I work with (usually quality) to do their job and deliver me something as per the set timeline.  The only difference is, they get paid to perform a specific function that often serves as an input to my job function.  Therefore, there is a reasonable expectation for me to make demands of them if they are either late or incompetent or whatever.  In this case however, the developers of SCP are not paid to do anything and you do not have a job function that relies on their punctuality, delivering a product or service.

Are you sure System Shocked is a native English speaker?

Not 100% sure but he sounds like he is.  It's one of those "takes one to know one" hunches I guess.

He could also just be rather young. He could also be a she. It would explain the constant nagging at least, but apart from Christine I'm not aware of any females taking an interest in Shock.

Ah, there's Dinksmallwood and TheNighterror too. Dinksmallwood used to arrange voice actors for Christine's missions while TheNighterror wrote a System Shock 2 Melee only walkthrough that was quite famous. I think both were related to Christine too, as friends perhaps.

But System Shocked doesn't sound anything like them. He/she sounds a lot more dramatic and obsessive with small details.

I was just thinking... Join usss! might even be a man! It would explain his obsession with big guns.  :D

Someone roll out the (anti-)pc jokes please! Will kill some time 'till the release at least.

Actually came here to catch up on the SSPortable news that I read at TTLG.

But I joined as I couldn't resist taking a bite.
Join usss! - IF women talk more than men they still know the difference between right and wrong.
By right and wrong I mean treating those who coded SCP some respect as it's free. RocketMan explained it well.
Join usss! - Do you think women say things sometimes even if they believe that it's wrong to say such a thing?
Or do you think that maybe they don't know the difference between right and wrong in the first place?

As for SystemShocked, maybe it's that Cyberpunkgothic1 or whatever name he/she uses these days that used to haunt TTLG with his ShockConfig.

I don't think so - that shockconfig nut is pure assholelery distilled (if that's a word), and while System Shocked might be a lot of things, he definitely isn't that.

Asshole is the wrong word. That word implies malice. He was just insane.

It all comes down to the individual, for the most part. I was just offering some good old traditional sexism to lighten the mood.
System Shocked is innocent enough. The only thing that I find intriguing is he makes no effort to tone down the DEMANDS and such despite the protests.

I'm still hopeful that SCP Beta 2 will be released by Oct. 1/15, but there are still some loose threads floating about that need to be sewn together, so a release this Halloween seems more likely. Besides, October ends on a Saturday, with November 1st being on a Sunday, the perfect scenario for a major release. Surely, it can't possibly go beyond then . . . . . . although ? ? ? . . . . .

Undecided whether this would be a good or bad idea.

This is fantastic. keep it.. it really makes the rickenbacker far far more a believable place and immersive. I've alvvays found it a rather blank place vvhen i played ss2 back then.
Make more of this!

Toilets are fantastic. Even if they come with a lavender print on the lid. Cold toilet seat is sent by the devil though. Can we have seat heating in this one? Maybe in the description text?

Just use those Toto ones from Japan that scratch your balls for you and give you a heated whipped cream enema... or was the bidet function just malfunctioning on me that day?

I don't think ZB is up to implementing that, mentally. I'm not sure I am.

no good with trolling here.  my feelings are hurt.. i like system shock toilets, but nevertheless: it vvould be nice to have some high-polygon toilet models with smooth curves.. it's very angular shaped now as it is
