I was thinking of modding this game to feature an AI and additional hacking aspects in the Love engine with permission from the creator.

It's working now. In my 5 min gameplay I haven't encountered anything relating to System Shock, but that may come later?
I also hope you don't mind that I contacted the creator of Spellrazor - Dene Carter - to verify that you have their permission to distribute the game, since he is apparently selling it on gamejolt.com.
As soon as I get their confirmation I'll move this thread to the Free Games subforum.

In the mean time, could you explain a bit what modifications you made?

Glad the confirmation came through quick, Dene was really helpful in teaching me the open source structure for the love engine and how to adapt new graphics/sounds/scripting etc to feature a Shock element.
This is the final in a trilogy set of shock demakes with a Cyberpunk hacker character I'm creating artwork for.

1. Shock atari
2. Berzerk Requiem
3. HackRazor

Also when I get in touch with the creator - I plan to feature this hacker in the Alter Alia Trilogy also.
