I had problems with the shotgun so I ended up just remodelling and retexturing it. Don't worry it's still vanilla. You might actually prefer the way I did it because the shotgun is a separate entity now. In any case, the hand is closed just in case.

Oh... you may want to check muzzle flash or anything that's been fixed to cater to the vanilla model. Might need slight tweaking.

the chest has moved up a bit, but the joints are spot on so there should be no problem - as far as I can tell, it works as it should, whether you are using the RealSG mod or not (so it will probably end up in the fixed objects pack as well, as it basically is just a fixed up orig model), so job well done. RC2 attached - added the new model, fixed up the shotgun position a bit, added RttUNN (1.07) and vanilla (SS2tool patched) support (so technically, this is not a SCP minimod anymore). Rebirth patches coming later.
again, thorough testing would be appreciated.

rc3 - made the mod NOT depend on mission dmls to shrink pre-placed shotguns (because NewDark 2.44 CAN dml add receptron stuff and I didn't notice until now). this should be the final RC - I'll leave it hanging here for a couple of days and if nothing bad is reported off to the mods subforum it goes.
//added the Rebirth version.
//rc3 now live as 1.0 addons in the SCP and Rebirth topics.

also, this is my first minimod that has over 3K downloads (combined), so yaay go me I guess?
or maybe it's just that it piggybacks on Rebirth's and SCP's popularity.

all three versions of RealSG have been updated to 1.02 - small cleanup, and most importantly, full compatibility with the
Shotgun Muzzle Flash mod
when running the vanilla game (load order is not important anymore, everything will work properly no matter which one of the two is on top), as I would imagine these two go together very well for all those people who are not ready to enter the realm of SCP yet for whatever reason.
no visual or functional change from the user's point of view. the archives are attached to their respective parent topics (
SCP
,
Rebirth
, and
Arcaniac
). updating mid-game is ok.

another small update, more cleanup, plus RealSG is no longer a dml stub mod, so technically it will work in a manual/non-SS2tool install of the vanilla game.
needs the latest NVscript, if your SS2 install is older than 11feb2017, either update via SS2tool or manually by extracting the
latest NVscript
to your OSM folder.
going from 1.02 to 1.03 mid-game will result in already existing sg hybrids to have an invisible shotgun, just kill them, the new spawns will be fine (starting a new game will make everything work properly as well).
