What exactly is ir32_32.dll? I believe it to be an indeo codex, but I can't seem to register it. I believe that might be what is stopping me from playing videos.

Yes, I saw that, and I did all the required steps.

Lgvid.ax and ir50_32.dll have both been registered, and I still can't get the intro to play, even if I press the button. All I get is a flicker.

Just install ffdshow. 's more reliable anyway.

I used that, and the Last Free Indeo Codec. Still no dice :/

Considering that most of the logical fixes are not working when applied to your situation, I'd guess that your system configuration is somehow the culprit.  Not saying it is for sure, but it seems that way.  It might be worth it to you to clean your machine (fix windows/reformat/etc.) until it is similar enough to a default template system to work correctly.  We've only got so much time and troubleshooting ability (and by we I mean everybody else but me).

Ai, that could be it.
But here's the thing : I did actually get videos before. Then my game started glitching up, forcing me to reinstall it several times. Well, it works now, but I no longer have cutscenes.

Yeah that sounds like a computer alright.. something works.. then it doesn't.  I've been through this pile of shit before.  It always stinks.

I'm gonna call my trusty bruxelles technocrat to make it illegal then.
