How to copy shock folder

I wanted to try playing System Shock 2 because a few friends recommended it, so i got an ISO of the cd, but i couldn't install it. Looking on the internet, and this site, told me to go to the SS2 Technical Faqs. I went there, and it told me to copy the Shock folder. I dont know how to do this, could someone please elaborate.

you should be able to open the iso (assuming it has the *.iso extension) with 7zip or similar, and extract the shock folder from there. or you can mount it with some cd/dvd emulator like daemon tools and do the same.
