I don't know. I send them a link to this thread about a year ago. Ask them?

Thanks for the response.  I will look into Asus's lack of support into this issue.

Thank you! thank you! thank you! after three days of frantic searching, i finally found this life-saver solution. Im really picky about the display settings of all my devices and this was my first time using an ASUS laptop. That stupid display calibration just kept resetting and I was blaming windows for it, but now i see its not so at all! Thanks again for a helpful fix!

Not the same problem. Might be a broken monitor connection. I don't know.

That's it - I've finally fixed it thanks to you, sir!

Thank you so much for you post. I have an ASUS UX501VW laptop. I follow your idea and uninstall the ASUS Splendid Utility from Control Panel - Uninstall Program. Then I restart the machine, but I found nothing has changed. Do you have experience about this situation? What else should I do after I remove the Splendid Utility? I really appreciate your help!!!

It seems "ASUS Splendid utility" is not available from ASUS anymore. Success! :awesome:

It's still preinstalled on new laptops. I just (only two months ago) looked over a new laptop (ASUS) of a friend and deleted a few preinstalled malware. Thanks to this topic I knew to uninstall the Splendid Utility right away.

Thanks! I actually manually set it to the most red because when drawing the colors were way off when I checked my phone and printed it out and the contrast settings just didn't do the job and it was frustrating so thank you so much for the help on this! :lordy: :awesome:
Automated event solution for ASUS laptop color calibration issues
665b4f3ecd421
You can solve this by adding an automatic event to re-calibrate at specific events, for example unlock etc.

1. Re-calibrate manually: http://www.laszlopusztai.net/2009/08/23/stop-losing-display-calibration-with-windows-7/

2. Automate windows event task to re-calibrate at desired events: https://brianreiter.org/2011/05/03/reducing-the-need-for-manual-reload-of-color-calibration-when-docking-in-windows-7/

Your solution from that first article....
- does not pertain to the problem described in this thread
- is based on the false assumption that you still need to rely on graphics driver based colour profiles or gamma loaders
- gives questionable advice (to turn off UAC) that will decrease system security
- is a terrible hack job that tries to do the wrong thing forcefully

Last time I used a gamma loader was on Windows 98. Since Windows XP the OS colour profiling works fine and certainly does not need to be re-calibrated at any events.

The problem described in the second article is about hot-plugging an external Apple Cinema display on a MacBook Pro running Windows 7. That's a rather specific problem and again does not relate to this thread.

Hi man, you saved my newly purchased Asus Zenbook UX310U, because it was driving me crazy, too. I opened the utility, set the colors to normal and wow. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! +1 beer, +1 lifetime thanks. Uninstalling didn't help the colors on my machine btw so be careful before you remove it. Softpedia saved me with much needed installers.

THANK YOU! This was driving me crazy.

That happens with me too, when I switch on the laptop from sleep it gives a chitter chatter of pixel display. I searched but there is no asus splendid utility installed in my pc which does that, what should I do?

Hello Guys...

I almost gone mad on this but i was lucky now..
After uninstalling that Splendid Crap i got a Screen way too blue...
So i went into System Control Panel and then inro Color Management.. (Got a German Win 10 but you can guess).
There i choose the Standard Color Scheme and deleted the one that remaind after uninstalling Splendid Crap...
Got standard colors back now...
Hope that helps..

Greetings.. :-)

Holy shit this was driving me crazy for hours, then I remembered this classic topic. Amazing. Thanks Kolya!

hi, I have an asus A5441U and cannot find this splendid utility. I have looked on the apps and done a search on the system.
I am running windows 10. the colour is just shocking.

If you can't find "splendid utility" it probably isn't the cause of your display miscoloration. Try using Windows colour calibration.
