By useless reloading I mean the possibility to reload any kind of weapon with a magazine that is already loaded.
Deus Ex has this too and it bothers me alot. If my gun is fully loaded there's no need for a reload animation if I slip on the reload button.

Well, but in reality it is also possible to reload a gun which is already fully loaded.
Just keep better track of your fingers.

If you forgot if your weapon is loaded, then you would have to check.
That takes time and pretty much matches what is going on in the game.
So, in order to avoid useless reload, simply recall if your weapons is loaded ot not and don't touch the reload button if not needed.

There was a guy who hated the quicksave feature, because he couldn't bring himself to not abuse it. I think you're in the same boat: don't expect the game to force you to play well, it's up to you.

As an aside, when Rare made Goldeneye (still the second best game ever, after Perfect Dark, if you ask me) on the N64, they did consider making it so that to reload your in-game gun, you had to remove the rumble pak from the joypad, and reinsert it! It would have been novel, at least, but I'm glad they instead chose to just have reload occur when you press a given button on the joypad.

Even if Rare really really really wanted to do that, it never would have passed Nintendo's approval process. The wear on the rumble pak's contacts would have been disastrous.

Why do people still even bother with this topic?

If you think you opened the Pandora's box, this is nothing compared to shotgun shells unloading.

Often when a thread has run it's course prematurely it devolves into a general chat.

Is that Copper series worth watching? Any other good series tips?

I never have time to write that SS2 \ Breaking Bad crossover we discussed with UNN Atropos.

I always wanted to learn sign language, in example who is this man and what is he saying?

@xdiesp: Oh you little devil ;)

On a World Cup note, I laughed like a madman when the sports commentator wanted to make a reference to the German tanks known as the Panzers, and instead yelled something about the "unstoppable German Tankers"XD

Well, the german tankers are also unstoppable, just sayin'

And who do you think is training the german team?

As you may know many teams have a special name like the Brazilian team is called "Seleção".
A friend of mine in the US told me yesterday that American reporters think the nickname of the German team is "Die Mannschaft". :D

So does the DFB. Or did I miss a joke?
665cbacd61673
"Mannschaft" is not a nickname, but simply translates to "team" or "crew". It's not a nickname anyone uses here. As far as I'm aware they don't have an official nickname. The DFB website is a likely source for people calling them "Mannschaft". Thanks for pointing it out.
