Tis like Giger's nightmares come to life.

This will probably fall into obscurity and never get made. Mostly because I've not seen this thing anywhere but one reference on DeviantArt.

and I'm hungry again;

AHHH! Damn it voodoo! I'm on dial-up! I can't enjoy comically used, thematically correct videos like you can! But I assume it has something to do with the morbidness of this game and it making you hungry instead of the normal grossed out reaction!

I DON'T KNOW WHY I'M SHOUTING!...

...Your broadband penis is bigger than mine. :what:

So the game was released 2 weeks ago.

Very unique style to it all. It feels like your inside an alien hive of some sort, as well having as the aesthetic of a ruined place where whatever happened, happened a long time go. I quite like it.

Goes for 5 acts and for the first 2 does not feel at all like a FPS, more walking simulator with puzzles. Once you get to act 3 however, then it switches to a more survival horror/FPS combo with much more open levels. Everything in game is flesh/living technology based, which I've not seen done in a game before (besides the Darkseed games back in the 90s). Gives it all a strong Giger vibe. Mostly atmospheric / ambient music for the majority of the time, though there is some proper music at key points. Game improves a lot from 3rd act onward.

Anyone else playing this currently?

Read a few reviews, consensus seems to be gorgeous levels, meh puzzles, awful combat.

Can't say I disagree as the combat is certainly clunky, and some of the puzzles are quite difficult with walkthroughs being needed for the later ones, unless you want to be fumbling about for an hour. Lack of manual saving is a major negative for me, as it leads to a fair bit of lost progress.

Back when the demo was released ages back, I asked the devs (as I'm a backer) for manual saving to be put in, and was told nope. Visuals and atmosphere though - Great.

Not wrong. The ending is a mega downer also.
