marked "working as intended".

Yeah, I can see that. So everything is working fine.

I think I found a bug and I put it on the google sheet. The lift in basic training no longer goes up and down. It goes diagonal into the wall.
Edit: In advance technical training once you pickup the first nanite container it starts dropping 2 at a time to replenish.

requires System Shock 2 patched to version 2.44 or higher (SS2Tool)
99% that you didn't use SS2tool, and have the default ND dmls spooking around. as mentioned a few times, everything developed here assumes a SS2tool patched install, and while we try to make stuff so that it would work as good as possible without it, sometimes it's just not fully possible - hence, the no tool=no support rule.

//unable to replicate the nanite double spawn. clean your install up and try again, if it still happens let me know.

Actually I did use the tool to install. But I have another issue. my movies have stopped playing suddenly. The only thing that changed was I played christines missions. They ran fine but now my movies stopped. This is weird. If you have any ideas let me know.

Edit: I reinstalled the codecs and then used the ss2tool again and all is well and the bugs are fixed. I'm not sure how it happened but sorry to have wasted your time voodoo47.

then it might have been some very old (tool) version (maybe post ss2tool.log and shock2.log). either repatch as suggested or manually delete all dml files from your SS2 folder (in the misdml folder as well). then you will have to start a new game again to see whether the lift works properly.

if movies stop working, try rebooting your pc.

//it's all right.

Your screenshot links to the SCP Beta 3 Google.Doc don't appear to be working.

I'm thinking you are trying to say that you didn't manage to copy and paste the screenshot url into the doc properly - yes, it's borked. corrected and marked as no fix - things CAN clip into other things and still be ok/not bug. also, this is a duplicate submit, don't do this in the future - doesn't matter whether you submit it once or hundred times, no fix is still no fix.

Was an issue previously reported - YES-NO? - I can't recall the hundreds of problems that I've reported within vanilla SS2 and SCP Beta 1 & 2. I'll do my best not to resubmit the same issue(s), but expect that a few may slip through - please accept my apologies in advance.

Also, there's no way of knowing that all previously reported issues were acknowledged and/or viewed or considered by the SCP Devs. There's also the problem of reported issues "falling through the cracks", as was evidenced with the many floating art display terminals and the huge noodle restaurant neon sign ( http://i.imgur.com/T4ZGf3g.jpg ) most of which were reported at least three times before finally being fixed in SCP Beta 3.

My submissions will also mirror other similar issues reported as being fixed in the SCP Beta 3 readme document, to maintain consistency throughout the entire game. Better that they be reported so that you can decide whether or not to pursue them.

1. think of an (old) issue
2. check whether the issue still exists in beta3
3. submit (or not)

I don't see where the problem is.

@ voodoo47

Regarding issue #19 in the google.doc, here is the savegame that you requested. It also happens in the room after installing the recharged power cell. Jumping when on top of this crate  http://i.imgur.com/Sqe0hRf.jpg  causes this  http://i.imgur.com/J5LZCoo.jpg

I'm almost sure you are running one of those experimental mods that move the player camera/eyes up the torso. if that's the case, the solution is simple - just don't.

as mentioned, everything downloaded from Engineering might eat your cat, marry your grandma, become your president or whatever - use at your own risk.

YEAH ! - it's your own damn fault -  :)  .  I've been using YOUR "Taller Player experimental mod that moves the player camera/eyes up the torso" for quite a while, but didn't notice any past similar issues. After just now disabling this mod in the mod manager and starting a new game, everything seems to be working fine. This is a very wanted/welcomed mod, but it needs to be fixed so that it works in SCP Beta 3. It would be very much appreciated if it did - I prefer the added marginal heightened visual perspective that it provides.

Maybe this is the feedback that you need to determine the next phase in the further development of your mod.

Thanks for your help in getting this issue resolved.

Anyone who ever says a modder "needs" to do something can fuck right off.

Also, anyone who pretends to be beta testing while having OTHER mods installed that change things is less than useless.

Yes, very unprofessional. I except System shocked to be more professional in the future.

"it would have to be fixed to be fully SCP (and vanilla, for that matter) compatible" is what he tried to say, most likely - by now, everyone should already be aware that his speech patterns are.. unique.

and while normal testers are recommended to stick with the verified stuff while testing, he is a very special case, and I actually don't mind him doing abnormal stuff just to see what kinds of weird edge case things he can come up with. should be all good and painless as long as the google doc is being used properly.

so let him ride his nanite-farting cyber-enhanced z-fighting unicorn and enjoy the show. or don't.

Thanks voodoo47 for appreciating and recognizing the "big picture" factor, that the others have not.

I don't want to be disrespectful in my comments, just truthful and to the point, but it's evident that someone will always jump upon and take exception to whatever I post, just because it's me. As usual, I have much more to contribute as evidenced by what I'll be submitting to the SCP 3 Google.doc in the coming days/weeks/months.

I don't think I want to think about what that actually means. anyway, shoo shoo, onto your unicorn you go, and away you gallop finding more weird bugs.

I prefer the rainbow farts that smell like apple cinnamon. It's far better than the scent the SCP community has been sending my way.
