Using the F keys for keybinds

Is this possible with some tweaks? I really hate using the comma and period keys for quicksave/quickload. Ideally I'd use F5/F9 but...

alt+S and alt+L are my favorites, much less prone to being pressed by accident. also I don't think you can rebind the F keys, not by regular means.
