I think you're on the money there!

Just looked at the source files again.
TU_FSH2, TL_LSH2 and TUSHEL2 all have reversed "security station", but I can't make out any words on the top half of the texture, so it may very well be reversed too!

Whoever made the UV map for the model probably made a mistake and laid out the backside of the polygones for the texture.
And instead of fixing it the one who made the texture simply mirrored it so it would be shown correctly ingame.

many, if not all issues he is having are caused by using Secmod - the Secmod gamesys is heavily customized, and vurt's mods (which assume a standard gamesys) are simply not fully compatible. unless the Secmod author releases a new version that would be more friendly to the new resources, the problems are not going away.

Hey Vurt, excellent work.

Please consider applying your talents to the following:

-The Many's central nerve/brain (whatever it is meant to be).
-Make a separate space texture for station.mis skybox. Hi-Res space is beautiful but it doesn't suit that particular map.
-Misc. Body of the Many anatomy obj/tex that hasn't already been updated.

Also incendiary grenades & projected pyrokenesis gives off EMP effect in your better explosions mod.

uhm.. how did u guys get the improved explosions to work? (i'm not sure whether it's odd or not, but i don't have gamesys.dml by default (so i created one and inserted the script i found on page 1 (which didn't make much of a difference either (btw (guess not)))))

Sure, here's what I gave to vurt to get this working:

-created \mods\explosions subfolder
-extracted animations pack here
-put gamesys.dml here (create a .txt file, rename it to gamesys.dml, then put the text below in this file - MAKE SURE you don't have "hide extensions for know file types" selected in your windows explorer settings... how I hate this option!)
-added +mods\explosions to mod_path line in cam_mod.ini

//gamesys.dml starts on next line

i started a new run and discovered that with the improved explosions enabled when i enter the room where the science sector key to be found the explosion event is broken. the window breaks, tho.

There is a missing sequence in the room where you have to collect the science sector access card. How can I solve the issue with the better explosion mod? The audio en and explosion is gone but the glass breaks.

confirming, the mod indeed breaks the sequence. I will probably have a look, but it might take a while, as I'd really like to get SCP out before my beard gets gray.
